For years, Turkey has been exposed to terrorism that has never been experienced before in any country. This terrorism has shown itself in various forms. Unfortunately, in the end thousands of our innocent people have lost their lives, thousands of people have become disabled, and economic loss worth of millions of dollars has been realized. 

KADEK is a terrorist organization which started terrorist acts under the name of PKK that has caused more damages and injuries in our society than all the active terrorist organizations in Turkey. 

Since 1984, as a result of the terrorist acts the terrorist organization KADEK has conducted against civil population without any discrimination to children, babies, women and the elders, as well as against those who were mostly teachers, religious officials and state officials who served the people living in the region, over 30.000 of our citizens in total were wounded or killed, 11.483 of whom were civilians (5415 killed and 6068 wounded) and as well as 17.875 members of the security forces (5871 killed and 12.004 wounded). 

Furthermore, a total of 2000 facilities, including 250 schools, 110 mosques and 50 medical facilities that served for the public were destroyed. 

It is now estimated that around 150 (one hundred and fifty) billion U.S. Dollars have been spent in the struggle against the KADEK terrorist organization. 

KADEK took its place amongst the top 30 terrorist organizations since 1997 in the "Foreign Terrorist Organizations List" of the U.S. State department's report, and it has also been listed in a report issued after the Sept. 11 attacks. Also it has been included in "Terrorist Organization List" of EU with the name PKK. 

Despite the fact that some European countries have already recognized KADEK as a terrorist organization since 1990's, it still receives support in various forms especially from some neighboring and western European countries. It is possible to sum up the support given to the KADEK terrorist organization by these countries in following titles; determining policy and to map out a strategy for the organization, providing shelter for the senior level leaders of the organization, supplying logistic materials (arms and ammunitions), allocating training, providing training, providing financial support, providing fake ids and passports, providing medical treatment, facilitating drug trafficking and human smuggling, providing intelligence through their secret services to the members of the terrorist organization planning terrorist attacks. The known number of such institutions and centers in various countries is 439. 

KADEK also deals with drug trafficking and human smuggling through those centers, committees, unions and associations. The report of the U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics proves that drug trafficking cartels in Europe are controlled by KADEK members. In a similar way, the report once again emphasized the fact that KADEK uses heroin production and trafficking to support its terrorist activities. 

On the other hand, money has been raised through usurp and blackmail from our citizens living in Europe. Kidnapping and arms trafficking has been conducted by the KADEK terrorist organization. 

Some of the countries, because of their political goals, support these activities of the KADEK terrorist organization and they even encourage the terrorist organization through their decisions and published reports. 

Within this context, the KADEK terrorist organization, due to the will of the some countries, has renamed itself. It is currently in an effort of masking its massacres and damages inflicted so far. 

Following the terrorist organization's renaming of itself, it is interesting that those who had resisted its inclusion in the terrorist organizations list of EU, have changed their opinion and said that KADEK would not be affected from this. 

Though all its damages and realities in sight, it is not possible for the terrorist organization, which killed more than 30.000 of our people up to now, to escape from its terrorist identity just putting a mask. It should be known for sure that no matter what changes this terror organization makes, it will have to pay for all it has done. 

Turkey will struggle against the terrorist organization and its supporters, disregarding its name. In this situation, we would like all states to consider the situation like us and struggle against terrorism. Our expectations from our allies are;

- to accept the KADEK related groups and organizations and especially the KADEK itself with its new name, as terrorist organization and,

- to reflect the sanctions stated in the "EU Framework Convention on Combating Terrorism" to their domestic law in order to be able to take necessary precautions and make punitive processings against PKK and DHKP-C which EU included in its list.

While many countries enjoy the advantages of low-threat environment, it is not possible to say the same thing for Turkey, a country which has for 20 years repeatedly emphasized the risks of terrorism the humanity may come across. Unfortunately, it is hard to say that Turkey has received adequate international support. In the international fora, collective struggle against the terrorism is a necessity. 

Terrorism has no language, religion, nationality, region or ideology, and it is an international phenomenon threatening the whole world.
